Sometimes just being able to take photographs isn’t enough. When working in a team everybody has their own role, these many additional elements are necessary to create the desired effect.
In looking what role the camera plays in all this, we can perhaps best categorize photography into two main streams, Pure Photography and Creative Approach.
The combination of women and revealing clothing led to a certain form of interaction which was apparent on the picture.
Photographic work by Leo de Deugd clearly gives a feeling of privacy. The portraits are personal moments of desire and parts of a sexual life; both in reality and fiction. In his work de Deugd processes a complete landscape, a reality dedicated to intimacy, fantasy, desire, dominance as well as emotions. Unique to Leo’s work is that the model and photographer appear to be in some sort of dance. At those moments the poses are replaced by acts. The difference is that poses result in a static picture, whereas with acts a dynamic picture is created.There is very clearly a combined action of the photographer and the model, which you can indirectly see on the photograph. He becomes a silent witness of a fantasy.
